Want to impress your date or bring your parents (or in-laws) for a celebratory meal? Angie’s Oyster Bar is tucked high up at the 45th level of Fifty Raffles Place. This place impresses the moment you step in, first with their signature Singapore skyline view and second with their more-than-affordable oysters at just $1 ($1.17 w/GST) from 6-8pm, Mondays to Saturdays.

Perhaps owing a bit of their fame to the hit movie Crazy Rich Asians, this is the exact place to be if you’d like to relive that scene where Rachel Chu consults her Patricia-Mok-resembling friend Peik Lin Goh and receives a “bak-bak-b*tch” along with some advice.

Humpback prides itself as offering a savoury selection of oysters to choose from.

If you’re mentally (and physically) prepped for an array of raw seafood indulgence, Teru Sushi is the place to head to for a delectable selection of oysters and sashimi. At just $1++ per oyster, you’ll be catching yourself calling for the waiter to bring out more oysters in no time.

Pair your dishes with their selection of Japanese beers and drinks and you’re sure to have a hearty meal!

db Bistro & Oyster Bar

Lining the basement floor of Marina Bay Sands is celebrity chef Daniel Boulud’s restaurant. The moody lighting and “Upper East Side”esque interior look straight out of a scene from Gossip Girl where the rich and famous hang, but they too offer 50% off Oysters. I mean, everyone loves a good discount!

From 3 – 6pm, Mondays to Fridays, enjoy freshly shucked oysters at the bar for $3.33 (min. order $20 for half dozen).

Tanuki Raw

A personal favourite of mine, Tanuki Raw ticks all the right boxes because I particularly enjoy the restaurant layout in their National Design Centre outlet. The place isn’t as noisy as some malls and restaurants can get, and you can retreat for a laidback meal at their artsy enclave.

The natural brine from their oysters do not make you flinch and their affordable beer pints start from $12.

A side note: If you’re reaaaally counting the discounts, this place might not be for you as the $2 oyster promotion requires you to order a drink with it.

Southbridge Rooftop Bar

Another one for the books – Southbridge scores for their picturesque view of Singapore’s iconic skyline and spoils you with their selection of cold and hot oyster menu.

Their oysters set out to be a cut above the rest with dramatic flavours like ponzu and yuzu sauce on their signature oysters, or Avruga caviar on their hot oysters.

Happy hour happens on weekdays, 5-8pm, with oysters on sale at $20 for half a dozen.

Greenwood Fish Market

Priding themselves as the go-to neighbourhood destination for your seafood fix, their $1.95 Oyster Tuesdays have not budged since their establishment in 2003. This family-run business boasts a wide array of oysters to choose from such as Irish Rock, Ostra Regal, and Golden Mantle.

Don’t be afraid to ask their friendly staff for the chef’s recommendations of the season’s best catch.

The Black Swan

According to Investopedia, the term ‘Black Swan’ was coined after the results of the 2008 financial crisis. Black swan events are occurrences that deviates beyond what is normally expected of a situation and is extremely difficult to predict.

If you work in the CBD, you should be no stranger to the grandeur and allure of this bank-turned bar. Slurp up some of the best oysters in town for $3 ($3.51 w/ GST) with an order of any drink while soaking up the gold sheens of the bar’s interior.
