2. Peach Garden
I can attest to Peach Garden’s dim sum. Besides the star of the meal (dim sum), they also serve up some delicious local fare. That’s not all! Peach garden is one of the few Chinese restaurants left who still push around traditional pushcarts with stacks of dim sum for you to choose from, from the comfort of your table.
Address: Thomson Plaza, 301 Upper Thomson Road, Thomson Rd, #01-88, 574408
Opening Hours: Daily 11am – 10pm
3. Swatow Seafood
Swatow seafood is no stranger to those residing in the Toa Payoh or Serangoon Gardens estate. Their 2 outlets are people’s go-to for the perfect place to gather friends and family. This dim sum buffet will set you back by $25.80++ on weekdays, and $25.80++ on weekends. Don’t forget to try their cute baos!

3. Yum Cha

4. Peony Jade Restaurant
A whopping $38++ per pax is a cut above the usual prices at other dim sum establishments, but Peony Jade promises you the classic dim sum but with extra specialities like Pandan liu sha abo. After all, they’ve landed a spot on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list – your money’s probably worth a meal here!
Address: 10 Bukit Chermin Rd, M Level, 109918
Opening Hours: 11am–2:30pm, 6–10:30pm
5. Empress
Empress is sure to impress (bad pun…). It’s swanky outlet is located in Asian Civilisation Museum, serving up a contemporary twist to the usual dim sum fare. I personally really enjoyed their Not-So Portugese Egg Tart.
Address: 1 Empress Pl, #01-03 Asian Civilisations Museum, Singapore 179555
Opening Hours: 11am–3pm, 6–11pm
6. Hai Tien Lo
Hai Tien Lo is the kind of buffet you’d go to for a special occasion or celebration. It’s Pan Pacific outlet already sets the tone for a rather atas meal, but their expertly crafted food definitely doesn’t disappoint. On top of the usual dim sum classics, you’ve got to try their Hai Tien Lo Signatures such as Barbecued Roasted Duck, Honey-glazed Pork Belly and the Cantonese-style Sweet and Sour Pork.
Address: 7 Raffles Blvd, Singapore 039595
Opening Hours: Daily 11:30am–2:30pm, 6:30–10:30pm
7. Cherry Garden
Food aside, I’m sold just by the decor of the place. Cherry Garden deserves a mention just because of the way the restaurant transports you into some period drama complete with majestic pillars and round tables. Their dim sum creations take your taste buds on a ride with signatures such as crystal dumplings with fresh mushrooms and black truffle, and deep-fried escargot dumplings.
Address: 5 Raffles Ave, 5F, Mandarin Oriental, S(039797)
Opening Hours: Daily 12–2:30pm, 6:30–10:30pm
