Escape Rooms for You To Escape the Humdrum

As if our existence here isn’t confined enough, many Singaporeans still enjoy trying to experience escaping from being trapped in their free time.

I have never liked the feeling of being trapped in a room and having to find my way out. Chances are, I may leave the room in need of a renovation by the time I get out.

However, to a good number of Singaporeans, challenging their teamwork and brainpower at various escape rooms have become their regular past time. Many companies are also using escape rooms as their corporate team building programme.

COVID-19 and Escape Room: Can You Still Play Escape Rooms with Covid-19 Around?

Yes, as of Phase 2 in Singapore, Escape Rooms are allowed to operate as long as they take the necessary precautions. Like all other aspects of our lives, covid-19 will be changing how escape rooms function.

As the game is incredibly interactive and hands-on, escape rooms will only allow a maximum of 5 participants per group, per room. All participants must wear their masks at all times and rooms will also have to be properly sanitised before and after each play.

How Does an Escape Room Work?

To give a good background of escape rooms, here’s how an escape room works:

  • Players pay an amount to be locked in a themed room
  • Players will also be given a set of objectives to complete
  • In which, players solve a series of puzzles and riddles using clues and hints to complete their respective tasks
  • Limited time is given to the players to complete their task.

What is an Escape Room?

Escape room is a cooperative puzzle game where the main objective is to escape the room you are locked in within a time limit. You and several teammates will be locked in a themed room full of clues, puzzles and sometimes scares, that you have to solve to break out of the room.

We miss travelling!

Bonus: Lost In JB

Having escaped from work last year, the Seedly Team did a lockdown in Johor Bahru.

Should we be able to head over the causeway for a short getaway in the near future, you might want to check out Lose in JB.

Not only did we have so much fun, but the cost was also quite friendly to our pockets.
