The Ultimate Credit Card Reviews Compilation in Singapore 2023

Why would you pick one credit card over another if they both offer 4 miles per dollar?

Are the features advertised on the provider’s websites sufficient to compare which card to go for?

Source: Tenor

This is when you’ll need real-user reviews to get into the intricacies of using a certain credit card.

Fortunately for you, we have compiled a credit card reviews list of some of the best miles, rewards and cashback cards so you can take it a step further to make a well-informed decision!

TL;DR: The Ultimate Credit Card Reviews List

While it is easy to find out about the basic features of a credit card such as the cashback rate, or miles per dollar, it isn’t as easy to know about the entire experience of using a credit card.

If you’re someone who wants to choose the best credit card not just for earning rewards but also a fuss-free user experience, this is where reading reviews of credit cards will help you out!

How Reviews Help You Choose The Best Credit Card

As someone with experience in almost every major bank’s credit cards and systems, reviews are the final factor when it comes to choosing a credit card.

Just a few months back, I was looking for an unlimited cashback card. For the uniniated, these cards award cashback with no cashback caps, minimum spending, and cover virtually all Merchant Category Codes (MCCs), save for the usual exclusions such as insurance payments.

Most of the cards on the market offer between 1 per cent to 1.7 per cent cashback with the same key features mentioned above.

Like anyone else, I thought to myself, “Why not just go for the highest cashback?”

But based on my previous experience with the UOB Absolute Cashback card with the highest cashback at 1.7 per cent, I realised that the rate itself isn’t sufficient reason to make it the best for me (it was an American Express card which isn’t as widely accepted as Mastercard or Visa).

It was thus down to Mastercards or Visa cards.

After a quick look on SeedlyReviews, I realised that the Standard Chartered SimplyCash had the best reviews despite having the typical 1.5 per cent cashback rate which is lower than the 1.6 per cent Citi Cash Back+ Card.

This made me very curious as to why it was so. Thanks to the Seedly users reviewing the cards, I realised that the SimplyCash was exactly that: simple. It credits your cashback on the next statement month automatically. Meanwhile, the Cash Back+ Card can only be redeemed in blocks and you needed to do that manually.

That simplicity for me was worth way more than the 0.1 per cent cashback difference.

Of course, you might say that I’m working for Seedly and hence shilling SeedlyReviews. However, I have been using Seedly even since before I started my career here. So this is really just friendly advice!

Similarly, with reviews from SeedlyReviews or any other platform, they can help you sus out the subtle nuances to a credit card experience. So here are the reviews for some of the popular credit cards in Singapore!
