The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ will be officially broadcasted by Singtel, StarHub, and Mediacorp with an early bird pricing of $98 (U.P. $118) if you subscribe before 6 November 2022.

This time, the FIFA World Cup subscription prices have increased by 4 per cent compared to 2018. This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to most of us with inflation skyrocketing in Singapore.

It’s no secret that the price for rights to broadcast has been increasing over the years, which party explains the rise in prices.

However, this year, with estimates of the price for rights exceeding $25 million coupled with an all-time short timeframe for telcos to advertise, it seems like a pretty tough battle for telcos.
