Free Chiropractic Check-up and Adjustments
The long hours of shift work can be back-breaking for many healthcare workers.
With that, chiropractic adjustments could be helpful in providing relief for these workers during this period of time.
Full Potential Chiropractic is one of the leading chiropractic groups in Singapore, with more than 11 years of experience.
They are kindly showing their appreciation to healthcare workers by offering free chiropractic check-ups and adjustments until 31 July 2020.
In addition, their clinics in Novena and Westgate are located within walking distance of major hospitals (Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital).
Do visit their website to find out more about the services they provide too!
They’ve got your back (literally).
Free Virtual Counselling
Apart from enduring long hours of work and discomfort from snugly fitting gowns and masks, healthcare workers tend to work under stressful and demanding conditions.
Being exposed to patients also meant working in a higher-risk environment, which would inevitably place an unimaginable mental strain on them.
Annabelle Psychology is a Singapore-based psychological clinic that specialises in behavioural psychology.
This clinic is offering free telehealth services for healthcare workers.
Telehealth is a service that can take place over a phone call or a video, allowing healthcare workers to have a safe space to seek help while facing psychological stress from work.
A wonderful initiative which could be extremely beneficial through the times of isolation.
Another important group of essential workers would be the food and beverage (F&B) workers, who have also been working tirelessly during this period of time.
In addition, the F&B sector is one of the industries that has been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and is experiencing the impact more than most.
The ‘Together In Spirits’ campaign was launched by seven wine and spirits firms, through the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) to show support to Singapore’s F&B industry.
This campaign previously provided free food for F&B workers, and has now partnered with MonfortCare to provide free-of-charge mental health consultations, via voice or video call.
Free consultations will be provided till 31 July 2020, where interested individuals can reach out for free mental health support.
To enjoy this, simply email MonfortCare directly at [email protected], or contact them at 8127 0283 for a brief chat before being linked up to a counsellor.
Services are available from Monday to Friday, 9 to 6pm.
Free Digital Access to Newspapers
To thank the healthcare workers, Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) has also joined in with the showing of appreciation to these frontline staff.
SPH is providing a six-month free digital access to healthcare professionals at 11 hospitals.
These hospitals include Singapore General Hospital, Changi General Hospital, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Sengkang General Hospital, National University Hospital (NUH), Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Jurong Community Hospital, Alexandra Hospital, Bright Vision Hospital, Outram Community Hospital and Sengkang Community Hospital.
Staff can choose the digital access of either The Straits Times or Lianhe Zaobao, and can do so after activating their account with a unique redemption code.
Redeem a Free Meal
GOMO by Singtel has partnered with Belanja Eat and Timbre Group to fund more than 6,000 free meals to be distributed at the 68 participating stalls at Timbre+ and Yishun Park Hawker Centre.
Who can redeem a meal?
Anyone can do so.
This wonderful initiative is extended to anyone who needs it, be it food delivery riders, factory workers or taxi drivers.
It adopts a no-questions-asked system, and relies fully on honour and trust.
To check which vendors are on the GOMO Helpful Meals campaign, you can head to GOMO’s website or app (if you’re a GOMO user).
Participating vendors will also have the Belanja poster physically displayed at their stalls.
Besides being able to fill someone’s tummy, this campaign can help to boost the sales of the F&B hawkers too, tiding them through this financially difficult period.
What a heartening win-win situation.
If you’re a hawker stall owner and wish to be listed in the list of participating vendors, you can fill in this form to be part of this initiative, and also promote your business for free.
For anyone who is interested in paying it forward and also help F&B hawkers at the same time, you can also donate a meal by paying extra after paying for your own meal.
