How to Get to Geylang Serai Bazaar
If you’re driving or ride-hailing, here is the exact address:
Address: 1 Geylang Serai, Singapore 402001
But we do not recommend driving over as there are limited parking spaces around the area!
If you’re getting there via public transport, here are your options:
- By MRT: Paya Lebar MRT (EW8/CC9)
- By Bus: 2, 7, 13 or 155
Author’s Thoughts
For context, it’s my first time at the Geylang Serai Bazaar and I brought along my friend, who happens to be quite a foodie. We both got a few items from various stores such as Takoyaki, Big Big Fries, Bhosphorus, and of course, Ramly Burger.
The Big Big Fries in particular immediately gave me huge buyer’s regret. I was expecting a large number of regular fries loaded with sauces like regular dirty fries. But I guess it’s my fault for not understanding the word “Big”. Sure enough, we got “big” fries….and we paid $9.90 for this:

While the picture only shows 9 fries, I had already eaten one. So technically, it was $1 for one damn fry (plus the sauce)! And the flavouring, seaweed mayonnaise together with Himalayan pink salt was not even tasty to either of us.
Okay, maybe it’s just this store, right?
I then wanted to take a photo of the Ramly Burger, but it looked so un-instagrammable which kind of defeats the purpose of going to the Geylang Serai Bazaar. It tasted alright but then again, it was $4.50. Compare that to a McChicken for $2.50.
And then came my friend’s kebab. It was $6, thin and the uncle didn’t even bother to spread the sauce out. In the end, he decided that it was so bad to eat that he only finished a quarter of it.
On the bright side, he did finish his takoyaki.
The seating areas were also pretty well set up with plenty of tables and chairs plus second-level seating. There was even a live band performing. So the vibes were definitely there.

Would I go again? Probably not. If I’m paying such a premium for “vibes” and “good food”, I better get both!
