And the Grab Foodie Pack which allows you to enjoy up to $125 in savings on food and more.
Is this all just a marketing gimmick?
Or do they really do what they’re supposed to do?

Grab RideSavers Pack: Not Really Worth It
Whether you pay $20.99 for 5 x $5 off Grab Transport vouchers.
Or $41.98 for 10 x $5 off Grab Transport vouchers.
You effectively enjoy $0.80 discount off each ride.
Grab Foodie Pack: Worth It
You pay $7.99 for 30 x $4 off GrabFood delivery vouchers.
You effectively enjoy $3.73 discount off each food delivery.
Is the Grab RideSavers Pack Worth It?
Since we’re officially in Phase 2, Grab is probably expecting people to travel more.
Either to head to their favourite cafe or to go to the gym for the first time in months.
With the Grab RideSavers Pack, you’ll enjoy 16% savings on rides and more.
The thing to take note here is, it’s “rides and more” NOT just rides.

Let me explain why.
There are two types of RideSavers Packs.
You either get the 5 x $5 off Grab Transport vouchers ($20.99) or the 10 x $5 off Grab Transport vouchers ($41.98).
And they both come with a free GrabMart and GrabExpress voucher.

Regardless of which RideSavers Pack you choose if you’re only interested in getting a discount off your rides.
You’re only getting $0.80 discount off each ride when you use the $5 vouchers.
FYI: Grab transport vouchers cannot be stacked, clubbed, or combined for use in a single transaction
And frankly, that’s not very impressive.
There’s also a little problem with the validity.
These Grab transport vouchers are only valid for 6 weeks from the date of purchase.
So unless you’re actively going places for the next 6 weeks.
(Which I highly recommend you do NOT, even though we’re officially in Phase 2…)
You might find that you’ll be in a rush to find a way to use them all.
Also, it’s pretty much an open secret that you can purchase Grab vouchers on Shopee or Lazada at a discount.
ln various denominations and… any time you want.
Plus you might even be able to use a Shopee promo code or Lazada promo code to get a better deal…
Better still if you can match it with the right credit card for online shopping.

Is the Grab Foodie Pack Worth It?
While we might be in Phase 2, there’s a chance that most of us will still be ordering food delivery.
Either for the weekends when we’re home.
Or when we’re working from home.
But most probably because EVERYONE is out.
So you might as well just order food delivery.
Or starve to death while waiting in line because the restaurant can now only seat 5 people at a time due to safe distancing measures.
With the Grab Foodie Pack, you’ll enjoy up to $125 in savings on food and more.

IMO, that’s waaaay better.
Oh, and by the way, these GrabFood vouchers are valid for 1 month from the date of purchase.
But hey, we’re definitely going to eat more than we take a ride anywhere now, amiright?

In order to purchase either the Grab RideSavers Pack or the Grab Foodie Pack.
You’ll first need to find Grab Subscriptions in your app.
And one of the problems of being a super-app means that sometimes, stuff gets buried.
