How to Play Hawker Pals: How Many Hawker Pals to Collect and More
Starting 8 August 2023, 8am, users can access the Hawker Pals game on Google Pay. The love for hawker food is unparalleled here in Singapore, with āhawker centres” being one of the top searched topics related to food in the past six months. With Hawker Pals, users will take on the role of a hawker to keep four of our visiting Pals ā Meow Shanwang, Orh Lua & Orh nee, Merina Baey, and a mystery customer ā well-fed.
No need for collecting these hawker pals as you are just serving them food.
To play the game, you will need to download the Google Pay app on the Play Store (Android) or the App Store (iOS), opt into Google Pay Rewards in your Google Pay app settings and download the latest version of the Google Pay app to see all the campaign features.
What is the Criteria for Each Hawker Pal?
By completing different payment actions from 8 to 20 August, users are tasked to serve up three well-loved local dishes, such as steamed egg and chilli crab, to each of the four Hawker Pals by completing daily actions like:
- Sending at least $10 to a friend who is on Google Pay
- Making a PayNow/FavePay transaction of at least $3 to merchants on Google Pay (E.g. topping up your CPF)
- Completing a short trivia quiz on Singapore.
You can check the ‘How to feed’ section for the actions to be completed.
Take note that these hawker pals can only be fed in sequence within a predetermined three-day window. In other words, there are four rounds of this game lasting three days each.
