UOB Cardmembers Presale | 5 July 2023, 12PM | 7 July 2023, 9AM |
General Sale | 7 July 2023, 12PM onwards via online, hotline and SingPost outlets |
Taylor Swift Fan Registration
You may be wondering, what exactly is fan registration?
Do fans get priority over UOB card members?
Sadly, no…
By registering via “fan registration” on Ticketmaster, you are registering your interest for general on-sales.
Only SELECTED registered fans will receive an email on 5 July with more information on how to access onsale tickets on general sales, including a unique access code that will only allow fans to purchase up to a maximum of four tickets per code. Make sure to check your Junk/Spam folder as well.
However, this DOES NOT guarantee tickets.
That said, we want every advantage we can get, so make sure to register as a fan because why not!
Create a Ticketmaster Account
Before registering as a fan or purchasing a ticket, you will need an account with the official booking channel.
Ticketmaster Singapore is the official ticket booking website for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour. So if you haven’t already, create an account before the fan registration/ticket sale dates to avoid wasting time since tickets are sold on a first-come-first-serve basis.
During registration, you must provide a Singaporean phone number, so foreigners are disadvantaged.
However, according to my sources, Filipinos with a DITO SIM card can sign up for a Ticketmaster Singapore account!
UOB Taylor Swift Cards Presale Ticket Guide
This is perhaps one of the most important steps. To get presale tickets, you must be a UOB card member with any UOB debit and credit cards issued in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. For foreigners in Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, Citi-branded credit and debit cards are eligible too!
If you do not have a UOB card and want to get presale tickets, there’s still time to get one!
You can either sign up for a UOB credit card or open a UOB bank account to get a UOB debit card.
UOB Credit Cards (For Working Adults)
Before you go signing up for a credit card, remember to be aware of the annual fees and any other fees that come with them.
If you are signing up purely to get into the UOB cardmembers presale, you do not have to hit any minimum spending whatsoever on the card. Those minimum spendings are ONLY if you want the credit card rewards.
Here’s a list of UOB credit cards:
Credit card | Best for | Key benefits |
---|---|---|
UOB One Card Apply Now | Cashback | Up to 15% cashback on your daily spend |
UOB Absolute Card Apply Now | Unlimited cashback | 1.7% unlimited cashback with no min. spend, no spend exclusions |
UOB EVOL Card Apply Now | Online and mobile contactless spend | 8% cashback for online and mobile contactless spend |
KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card Apply Now | KrisFlyer Miles | 3 miles per dollar on dining, food delivery, online shopping and travel, transport spend, and SIA flights |
UOB PRVI Miles Mastercard Apply Now | Miles | 6 miles on Agoda, Expedia & UOB Travel bookings via UOB PRVI Miles website 1.4 miles per dollar (local), 2.4 miles per dollar (overseas) |
UOB PRVI Miles Visa Card Apply Now | Miles | 6 miles on Agoda, Expedia & UOB Travel bookings via UOB PRVI Miles website 1.4 miles per dollar (local), 2.4 miles per dollar (overseas) |
UOB PRVI Miles AMEX Apply Now | Miles | 6 miles on Agoda, Expedia & UOB Travel bookings via UOB PRVI Miles website 1.4 miles per dollar (local), 2.4 miles per dollar (overseas) |
UOB Preferred Platinum Visa Card | Online spend | 4 miles per dollar on contactless + online payment |
UOB Visa Signature Card | Overseas spend | 4 miles per dollar on overseas, online, petrol and contactless transactions |
UOB Lady’s Card Apply Now | Female shoppers | 6 miles per dollar on 1 enrolled category (Beauty & Wellness, Fashion, Dining, Family, Travel, Transport, Entertainment) |
UOB Lady’s Solitaire Card | Female shoppers | 6 miles per dollar on 2 enrolled categories (Beauty & Wellness, Fashion, Dining, Family, Travel, Transport, Entertainment) |
The question then lies in which credit card to sign up for.
Unfortunately, UOB does not offer credit cards with no annual fees. Thus, I would recommend a basic-tier credit card like the UOB Absolute Cashback Card which gives 1.7 per cent cashback on virtually all spending.
It comes with a first-year fee waiver, so you can cancel the card if you do not use it often after.
The fastest way to receive your credit card is to go down to a UOB branch and sign up for a card on the spot!

For the UOB one account, there will be fall-below fees if you do not have a minimum of $1,000 after the first six months.
Again, if you are signing up solely for the purpose of entering the presale, you can simply cancel the account after six months by going physically to a UOB branch!
If you are below 18, you’ll have to ask your parents for help.
More details will be provided by UOB through your email or mobile number when the time comes!
Hacks to Increase Your Chances Of Buying a Taylor Swift Ticket
Now that you know how to get presale tickets and/or register your interest for general sales, it’s time to prepare for D-day in the true spirit of kiasu (Hokkien: selfish attitude from fear of missing out).
Here are some advanced tips to help you secure a queue number and subsequently how to get through payment quickly!
Pre-save Your Payment Details
Always have your payment details ready! This means having your credit card on hand.
But if you REALLY want to shave off every second to ensure you up your chances of getting a Taylor Swift Ticket, try pre-saving your payment details on your browser or your device’s “Remember payment details” feature for a quick checkout!
Use Multiple Devices and Networks
If you have access to multiple devices (computers, mobile phones, tablets, etc.), USE THEM! Depending on how kiasu you are, you can start preparing 30 minutes before priority booking ticket sales start and have all your devices logged into the respective accounts with the “Buy” page ready to be refreshed.
But of course, having all your devices on one network may slow your connection down a bit; for your phone(s), make sure you tap onto your mobile data network too!
Use Auto-refresh Extensions with Google Chrome
If you’re a tech-savvy user, you can even set up auto-refresh extensions on Google Chrome and set the timer to 10 – 15 seconds. This helps your alternative devices refresh automatically while you can manually refresh on your main device. Once you’re in, remember to turn the extension off.
Offline Methods
Aside from queueing online, Swifties can also call the Ticketmaster hotline:
+65 3158 8588
Hotline Operating Hours:
Monday to Saturday (10am – 6pm)
Sunday and Public Holidays (Closed)
Alternatively, you can queue physically at all Singpost outlets!
Still Didn’t Manage to Get Tickets?
Don’t worry. Sometimes, server issues, budgeting oversights, or plain old forgetfulness might catch us by surprise, causing us to miss out on ticket sales.
Luckily, all hope is not lost as you can still look for resale tickets on Carousell or other communities on Telegram, Whatsapp, and so on.
But, you may run into scalpers who mark up the prices and run higher risks of getting scammed. So be sure to do your research before getting resale tickets or just wait for the next concert!
