Tour packages in Central Japan – Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Niigata, Fukushima, Hayama, Kamakura, Kanazawa, Mt. Fuji, Hayama, Kyotango, Noto Island

Central Japan is the haven for theme park lovers. There’s Disneyland and DisneySea in Tokyo, Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, and the newly opened Ghibli Park which is located at Nagakute, a city located in Aichi Prefecture, which sits between Tokyo to the east, and Osaka to the west.

If you’re planning on a trip of your own, getting a Japan Rail Pass is no doubt the fastest way to travel across different locations.

But if you want a fuss-free trip, including not needing to purchase your own air tickets and booking hotels, check out these tour groups:

Tour packages in Southern Japan – Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Oita, Kyushu

For those who prefer dropping the hustle and bustle and intensive shopping in cities, a trip to Southern Japan would give you a laid-back vibe.

Southern Japan is also a region that boasts stunning natural landscapes, from lush forests to volcanic mountains. You can explore areas like Aso, known for its colossal caldera, or Yakushima, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its ancient cedar trees.

Besides being home to nature lovers, it’s also famous for hot springs, or “onsen,” where you can relax and soak in therapeutic mineral-rich waters. Beppu and Yufuin in Kyushu, in particular, are famous for their onsen.

Pros and Cons of Joining a Tour Group

Mind you, air tickets are getting increasingly expensive and tickets to Japan in December are at least $2.7k on Singapore Airlines now!

If you ask me, I would say that going on a tour that’s within the range of $2,800 to $3,000 is more value for money as the price includes flights, accommodations, meals, and transfers. Similarly, you will be led by a licensed tour guide and most sightseeing fees will be included in the packages.

However, there are potential downsides such as a rigid schedule and being forced to socialise with strangers. Here are some pros and cons to think about:

Pros Cons
You will be able to tick off popular destinations in the comfort of catered transportation Fixed itinerary to follow and less flexibility in managing your time
Requires much less planning and logistics such as transportation, accommodations, and itinerary planning. This means less stress and planning on your part Requires lots of planning and purchases of your own
Tour guides are often knowledgeable about the destination and can provide valuable insights, history, and context that you might miss when traveling independently Group tours cater to a wide range of travelers, so your individual preferences and interests may not be fully accommodated
You have the opportunity to meet and socialise with fellow travelers, which can enhance the overall experience, especially if you’re traveling alone Traveling with a group can sometimes result in less immersion in the local culture, as you may spend more time with fellow tourists than interacting with locals
Group tours often prioritise safety, which can be reassuring, especially when visiting unfamiliar or potentially risky destinations Popular tours can be crowded, which may limit your ability to fully enjoy and appreciate certain attractions
Some tours offer access to attractions and experiences that may be difficult to arrange on your own, such as skip-the-line tickets or exclusive tours Tours can be more expensive than planning a trip independently because you’re paying for the convenience and services provided

Which Trip Would You Go?

Before we forget, even though Japan is generally a safe country to travel to, there are still risks imposed with travelling.

This is especially so if you’re bringing more clothes and items during winter, and if your luggage is damaged or lost, there will be more losses.

And if you’re planning to go for adventurous activities such as skiing, getting a travel insurance can help to minimise any financial losses or cover you for potential injuries during the trip.

When you’re on it, why not check out real user reviews too:
