The Return of Chicken McCrispy: What You Can Order From 1 July Onwards

McDonald’s Chicken McCrispy Is Back Permanently From 1 July, 11am

I have something to confess.

I’ve never tried the legendary Chicken McCrispy.

But I’ve sure heard of its wonderful powers, and how mightily superior it is as compared to the McWings that we have now.

Some say it’s even better than the existing dishes that we have…

The Chicken McCrispy sure has its fans around, given how excited everyone got when it had a tiny comeback sometime last year.

After 11 years, it seems like this wildly-missed chicken is finally making its way to having a permanent spot on the McDonald’s menu.

For those who’re like me and have never tasted this tender and juicy chicken…

Fret not, as the Chicken McCrispy will be back in stores from 1 July 2021 onwards!

TL;DR: McDonald’s Chicken McCrispy Is Back: Menu, Price and What You Can Get

McDonald's Chicken McCrispy MenuConsists OfPrice
Extra Value Meal- Two pieces of fried chicken
- Medium Fries
- Small Coke
From $8.40
Six-piece Bucket Set6 pieces of fried chicken, including:
- Three thighs
- Three drumsticks
From $18.80
Chicken McCrispy Value Bundle- 6 pieces of fried chicken
- 2 medium fries
- 2 small cokes
From $21.50

There are currently three methods available for you to sink your fingers into the Chicken McCrispy goodness.

Prices start from $8.40 for an extra value meal, which comes with two pieces of fried chicken, medium fries, and a small coke.

Since we are huge on saving money via fast food hacks, we took a deeper comparison to help you make smarter personal finance decisions.

Even though the Chicken McCrispy’s said to be juicier than the regular McWings, we decided to see whether it makes financial sense to try the Chicken McCrispy.

Just for the fun of it.

Price Comparison to McWings

Since the Chicken McCrispy exists as an extra value meal, let’s see how these meals compare:

MealConsists ofPriceTotal
Chicken McCrispy Extra Value Meal- Two pieces of fried chicken
- Medium Fries
- Small Coke
$8.40$8.40
McWings Extra Value Meal- Four pieces of fried chicken
- Medium Fries
- Small Coke
$6.95$9.70
McWings (a la carte)- Two pieces of fried chicken$2.75

Over here, we have an assumption that you gotta have three McWings to have enough meat to battle one McCrispy.

With this assumption, the Chicken McCrispy emerges as the cheaper option.

However, one might argue that a McCrispy might only be two McWings’ worth in terms of meat quantity.

With that assumption instead, the McWings set would be the more affordable option.

Just Get the Chicken McCrispy for Some Nostalgia

Well, that was fun (and some useless knowledge gained).

Okay lah, in all seriousness, I’ll probably get some McCrispy just to see how awesome it is.

People say that it tastes like the McSpicy patty, and it looks like an upsized McWing to me.

So having a McSpicy + McWings combo seems like a dream to me.

And if you’re a kid from the 80s or 90s, the price tag of $8.40 for a trip down the nostalgia lane’s probably worth it.

If you’re planning to get it as well, the Chicken McCrispy will be available for dine-in and delivery, via McDelivery, foodpanda, and Grabfood.

It will not be available at these McDonald’s outlets:

  • Shell Tampines
  • Shell Hougang
  • Shell Havelock
  • Clementi Ave 3
  • Parklane
  • Tampines Kiosk
