The Ultimate Mid-Autumn Festival Compilation: Best Mooncake Credit Card Promotions 2019

While watching Designated Survivor on Netflix (I was trying to catch up with my wife, who is two episodes ahead. THANKS FOR WAITING FOR ME…).

I was r̶u̶d̶e̶l̶y̶ abruptly interrupted by this…

“EH! Should we get the Mao Shan Wang Durian Mooncake from Peony Jade this year? Or should we get the one from Golden Moments?”

My wife asked excitedly while circling the vendors that she wants to visit at the Takashimaya Mid-Autumn Festive Celebrations 2019.

“How much is…”

“Marina Bay Sands got a new yuzu white lotus mooncake sia…” she lamented without looking up from her phone.

(the wife loves everything yuzu)

“Sounds…”

“But they’re not at the Takashimaya mooncake fair…” she mused.

“Capital Kempinski’s got a Caramel Mixed Nuts and Golden Corn mooncake?! Sounds like a popcorn flavour! Do you think it’s good?”

(the wife also loves popcorn)

With my eyes still on the screen, I tried to reply, “I don’t thi…”

“Eh, what about Kam’s Roast Duck Mooncake? You like to try weird things right?” she said while jabbing me in the shoulder.

“…”

She finally left me alone to enjoy the episodes in peace.

Once I was done, I took a look at the brochure which she vandalised. And counted at least 12 vendors she wanted to visit alongside a “To Buy” list which totalled more than 10 boxes of mooncakes.

Siao liao.
