Mother's Day Singapore 2021: Where to Bring Mom For a Delicious Meal in Singapore
●
‘A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take.”
~Cardinal Mermillod
Growing up, my mother took on the role of provider, teacher, nurse, cook and whatever role it took to raise me.
Basically, a superhero.
If you share my sentiments and would like to take the opportunity to spoil the superhero in your life even more, Mother’s Day is coming up.
And what better way to show it by taking her out for a lovely meal this Mother’s Day!

For Mother’s Day this year, Tablescape has put together a thoughtfully curated four-course set priced ~$80 ($68++) per person.
Indulge your mom with this four-course set that includes an octopus appetiser blanched until just tender and served with savoury olives, buttery potato mash and celery to freshen the rich flavours.
This is followed by a Risotto made with light housemade duck stock and Carnaroli rice, also known as the king of risotto rice; then layered with generous slices of house-smoked duck breasts and chunks of foie gras
Your Mom can choose either the Fresh Seabass that is pan-seared until the skin crisps and served with creamy burrata and a refreshing heirloom tomato salad or Gnocchi, made fresh every day for a pillowy bite of potato goodness, served with a sauce comprising tomato and aged Parmesan, then balanced with a handful of bitter rocket.

- Melanzana: a tribute to Chef’s nonna (grandmother).
- Flavoursome spaghetti with rich monkfish ragout and peppery rucola pesto: the first dish cooked by Chef for his mother.
- And Merluzzo, a classic Tuscan fish stew for his mother-in-law.
As for dessert, we have a dish called Baba which showcases a union of two decadent Neapolitan desserts: rum babà combined with the delicate flavours of pear and ricotta cake.
