I think I may be a little bit biased here (it’s my personal favourite) but getting a manicure or pedicure at Nails & Beauty Hua Yi Fang is really affordable and good!
You probably weren’t expecting this beauty salon as the recommendation for Bugis Street since it’s almost always Hanakura Bliss or Lily Nail Salon…
I first stumbled upon this place by accident but I quickly learned that it was a crowd favourite because they are always so packed!
You might have to wait for more than an hour sometimes if you drop by without an appointment…
Of the different nail salons I tried in Bugis Street, I find that my manicures and pedicures last longer and they are really meticulous!

You know, I used to only do non-gelish manicure since it can be quite pricey.
But eventually, I realise that gel services are more worth my money since it really lasts a long longer!
In my experience, gel manicures and pedicures can last 3-4 weeks, which is pretty good!
Here are some hacks you can try if you want to make your gel manicure last even longer, other than being super careful…
Avoid Super Hot Showers
Hot showers can be really soothing after a long day of work but if the water is too hot, it might cause the gel polish to peel off easier over time!
Wear Rubber Gloves When Cleaning
If you’ve already been doing this to protect your hands from any strong chemicals in your cleaning products, good for you!
While they are super effective, some cleaning products might cause your gel polish to weaken, increasing the chances of them peeling and chipping.
Add an Additional Layer of Top Coat
Of course, the nail artists would have finished off your manicure and pedicure with a top coat.
But if you would like to protect the colours and make your gel manicure to last longer, apply a thin layer of top coat every few days.
Add on Other Nail Polish
Unless you never have to wash your hair or clean the house, your manicure is almost always going to chip off, right?
If you have nail polish at home, you can always add on a new layer of glitter nail polish or solid colours.
