Important Dates for NS55 Recognition Package
Here are a few important dates to take note of, with regard to the NS55 Recognition Package.

Where Can You Use Your NS55 Recognition Package Cash Credits?
One of the benefits that come with the NS55 Recognition Package is $100 worth of NS55 cash credits which is accessible through the LifeSG mobile application.
You can redeem then redeem the credits at any merchants (both online and offline), as long as they accept payment through PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR.
You will be notified through SMS at your registered mobile number once the credits have been disbursed to you.
How to Access and Redeem NS55 Credits?
You are to download the LifeSG mobile application on your mobile phone to enjoy the credits.
All information can be found on the app.
In order to redeem your NS55 credits, simply,
- Make sure that the online or physical merchant accepts “Scan and Pay” through PayNow UEN QR or NETS QR code
- In your LifeSG mobile application, scroll to “Benefits and Support”
- Locate “NS55 credits” and tap on “View Details”
- Tap on “Scan QR code to pay” and scan the QR code provided by the merchant
- Key in the amount to pay and pay accordingly
Ultimately, the NS55 Recognition Package is a small gesture to thank past and present national servicemen for keeping Singapore safe. Remember to claim it and treat yourself to something nice!
Useful Hack to Redeem NS55 Credits as Cash
You can now withdraw NS55 credits as cash (at least as of 7 July 2022). Shoutout to TikTok user @kpherluke for sharing the redemption process.
Here are the steps to redeem NS55 credits in form of cash:
- Head over to the nearest Simple Teller Machines ($TM) at Sheng Siong outlets.
- Select ‘PayNow’ as the withdrawal method
- Select ‘Other Amount’ as the cash withdrawal amount and key in $90
The reason for this is that there will be a $0.20 service charge when you withdraw using this method. This means that you will not be able to withdraw the full $100 NS55 credits. - You should find yourself with $90 worth of cash and $9.80 credits left in the LifeSG app. You can then go on and pay at any merchant that allows PayNow or UEN as the payment mode.
