Free Period, Fertility & Pregnancy Tracker Apps (Including Premium Subscriptions)
Queen B has said it.
We now live in an era where talking about menstruation, period, and ovulation is becoming the norm (or so I believe).
These topics while sensitive, are more important as couples are trying to conceive.
Whether or not you’re reading this because you want or do not want to get pregnant, what if, there’s an app that can help you calculate the optimal time to do so?
And every time you log your records, you get to learn more about your reproductive health and track your cycle using an ovulation calculator.
Men, if you’re reading this, conceiving and physical intimacy require more than one individual, and if you’re part of the equation, why not help your girl out if she hasn’t started using any of the apps?
Without further ado, let’s dive into apps that allow you to track your period, ovulation, fertility, and pregnancy FOR FREE!
TL;DR: Free Period Trackers & Fertility

Period Tracking & Ovulation Trackers
Clue
With Clue, tracking period and ovulation are pretty straightforward.
Its user interface is pretty friendly and the app shows you how many days late you might be into your monthly cycle, the calendar also has red and blue markers to indicate predictions.
The free version allows you to track your period, ovulation, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), skin conditions, and other personal details.
You will be able to log in calendar reminders and record your symptoms and what you did – including taking birth control!
So whether you’re preventing pregnancy, trying to conceive, or wondering about your body’s pattern, this app can do that much in its free version.
But, good things don’t come for free. If you want more in-depth analyses and functions, the paid version will provide you access to:
- Switch app mode to Clue Conceive
- Tips and advice from medical experts
- Exclusive female and pregnancy content and articles
- Make plans ahead with six months of predictions
Subscription Plans | Cost |
12 months, billed annually with a 7-day free trial | $52.98 |
1 month, billed monthly | $13.48 |
Cycles
As we compare the various tracking apps, the Cycles app stands out as you can display the screen in dark mode.
While it might be better for the eyes, there might be little too many colours on the calendar – a simple swipe of the calendar and I could see green, blue, striped red, red, and yellow dots which I’m sure meant something but weren’t intuitive to me.
Nonetheless, it’s easy to record your history. Basic recordings such as flow, any physical intimacy, and cycle symptoms.
For the paid version, you will get to share your cycle with your partner and this is important for those who are trying for kids.
Subscription Plans | Cost |
12 months, billed annually with a 7-day free trial | $39.98 |
1 month, billed monthly | $6.98 |
Eve by Glow
If you’re still thinking about which app is the best, Eve is hands down one of the top few choices.
The app was created by Glow, a health enterprise that has created multiple health-tracking apps that encourage users to form communities to share their experiences.
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw how active the different communities were, and how unfiltered people asked their questions.
There are also daily quizzes for you to do and learn from!
However, besides tracking and recording your symptoms, and being able to participate in communities, you will need to pay for a more detailed analysis of your cycle.
Subscription Plans | Cost |
Quarterly | $13.99 per month |
Yearly | $7.08 per month |
Lifetime | $148.98 |
Flo
Based on first impressions, Flo feels more than just a period tracking app.
For the uninitiated, it uses Artificial Intelligence to calculate menstrual cycle predictions.
You can sync Flo with Apple Health and unlike the rest of the app, there is a 14-day trial without payment!
However, to start clocking your health condition, you will have to go take on the free trial, and to continue using, you will have to pay… It’s still cheaper than other apps.
There’s also a virtual health assistant that helps you uncover reasons such as non-pregnancy-related late periods.
Subscription Plans | Cost |
Monthly | $11.98 per month |
Yearly | $54.98 |
Glow
Glow is a sister app of Eve. Unlike Eve, Glow is an ovulation and fertility tracker.
By using Glow, you can share your insights with your partner and get him more involved in the process of conceiving.
The health tracking function in Glow is free, and the ovulation calculator prediction gets more accurate as you enter more data. It’s said on the Google Play store that couples who used the Glow ovulation tracker are 40% more likely to get pregnant.

Quarterly | $13.99 per month |
Yearly | $7.08 per month |
Lifetime | $148.98 |
Kindara
Built for fertility tracking, Kindara can monitor basal body temperature and cervical fluid to learn about hormone levels in your body and tell you when to conceive.
You can pair it with an oral thermometer called Wink, but even if you don’t, you can still log your records as usual.
The best thing about this app is that you can access your cycle date on charts for free!
This may help you get a better sense of your mood and cycle, and do a fertility test when something’s out of the norm.
But for those who want a more in-depth reading of moods, a lunar calendar, messaging other Kindara community members, and unlimited custom data, you can subscribe to the premium version.

Monthly | $4.99 per month |
Yearly | $49.99 |
Nurture by Glow
Not a period tracking app, Glow Nurture is a pregnancy tracker that helps mothers record and customise their pregnancies.
There are daily articles related to maternity and babies, and based on records you will also be able to track your pregnancy progress (weight, medication, symptoms etc.), and reach out to other mothers out there who are going through or have gone through the same experience as you.
The free version includes basic recording of symptoms and observations and if you’re keen to have more detailed reading such as forecasts, comparative insights and customised profile, you can opt for the premium version.
Period Calendar Period Tracker
Period Calendar Period Tracker is an all-in-one app that helps you track your period, fertility and pregnancies.
With this app, you can do symptom predictions to manage your symptoms during your cycles and export your cycle charts to a doctor!
What I like best about this app is that you can use it without signing up for an account and… remain completely anonymous!
It is one of the most widely used apps and the interface is user-friendly, and has a 4.9 out of 5 ratings (122.9k ratings) on the App Store!
Of course, to get detailed analyses and remain ad-free, you will have to subscribe to the app at US$49.99 (~S$69) per year.
Fertility Trackers
The only difference between a period/ovulation tracker and a fertility tracker is that the latter informs you of the days when you are most likely to become pregnant during sexual activity, while an ovulation calculator calculates the likelihood that you will release an egg on a specific day during your menstrual cycle.
Both can increase your potential for becoming pregnant.
Typically, a woman ovulates about 12 to 14 days before the start of a new menstrual cycle. Hence, her fertile window is the five days leading up to ovulation, plus the day of ovulation and the day after ovulation – about seven days in total.
Fertility Friend
Fertility trackers such as Fertility Friend help to determine crucial fertile windows.
Based on user reviews, you will be able to share charts, identify your cycle patterns, and is accurate at determining predicted period and ovulation.
There is also an integrated pregnancy tracker that you can use once pregnant.
Subscription Plans | Cost |

90 Days VIP Membership | $20.99 |
1 Year VIP Membership | $45.99 |
1 Year Renewal Membership | $20.99 |
Nurture by Glow
Pregnancies are really hard.
While scheduled appointments with a gynecologist are useful, if it helps you feel any better, you are empowered to track your own progress with a pregnancy tracker.
Pregnancy trackers are not meant to replace your doctors, but to help you identify areas of potential concerns, read up (since there’s a whole lot to read up on), and help you to monitor your health and your baby so that you feel safe and assured.
If this is of any help, you can download Nurture by Glow.
