What is The Sentosa Singapore Islander Membership?
For the uninitiated, the Sentosa Islander Membership is Sentosa’s exclusive membership programme.
Islander members get to enjoy discounts, privileges, promotions, offers, on services and products, offered by Sentosa.
The Sentosa islander membership used to cost $25 per year for individuals and $50 a year for families (up to five immediate family members).
But now, you can get the Islander membership for FREE!

Who Can Apply For The Sentosa Singapore Islander Membership?
So you might be wondering, who can apply for a Sentosa Islander membership?
Well, the good news is that the Sentosa Islander membership is open to all locals or foreigners with a valid email and unique local mobile number.
But, do note that the Sentosa Islander membership is only valid for one year.
After one year, the membership may not be free anymore, so do set a reminder to check when the time for renewal comes around.
Also, one individual can only apply for and hold one Sentosa Islander membership at any point in time unless you have special clearance from the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC).

Let’s break them down further.
Sentosa Free Entry
At the time of writing,
Sentosa is offering all its visitors free entry from now till 31 September 2022 if you enter via these methods:
Sentosa Express From Vivocity
Simply use your EZ-link card to tap in at the gantry to enter for free. If you do not have an EZ-link card, you can simply approach Sentosa’s service ambassadors deployed near the gantry who will let you in for free.
Sentosa Gantry
In addition, you can drive into Sentosa for free via the Sentosa gantry if you are entering the island in a vehicle with a locally registered In-Vehicle Unit (IU).
Those with vehicles that do not have a locally registered IU can also enter for free using your Autopass Card on the card reader at the booth.
As for Goods & Services vehicles, they are allowed free entry on Mondays to Fridays (excluding Public Holidays) from 8am to 6pm.
But outside of this timing, drivers of these vehicles will have to pay an admission charge of $10 per entry unless you have a valid service order or delivery order.
Unfortunately, those riding motorcycles will not be allowed to enter.
Sentosa Gantry: Grab
In addition, you can take a Grab into Sentosa and get in for free. You can even get a discount on your Grab ride.
From now till 31 Dec 2021, use promo code: SentosaFun to enjoy $4 off your Grab ride.
But, do note that there are a limited amount of codes available. Also, the promo is only valid for pick-ups outside Sentosa, and drop-offs at Sentosa.
Walk-in or Cycle
Apart from this time-sensitive free admission promotion, visitors can also opt to cycle or walk into Sentosa for free, according to the island’s standard admission rules.
But with the free Sentosa Islander Membership, you can secure free entry to Sentosa one year after you sign up for a membership.
If you are driving in, you will need to register your vehicle with SDC to enjoy the enjoy complimentary drive-in admission via the Sentosa gantry during the validity of the Sentosa Islander Membership.
But, do note that if you are entering without a car registered with SDC, you will be charged at the prevailing admission rates.
Sentosa Parking Prices
Sentosa Island members are also entitled to free two-hour parking at Beach Station.
To redeem the complimentary parking coupon, you will need to collect the e-voucher on the online Sentosa Islander Member’s portal first and approach the Beach Station membership counter with your registered email address and e-voucher.
However, according to Sentosa’s Islander membership FAQ, each member is entitled to only ‘ONE redemption per day, limited to the first 500 members.’
Do note that additional charges apply if parking exceeds two hours.

Priority Access to All Sentosa Beaches
What’s more, Sentosa Islander members get to enjoy priority access to all of Sentosa’s beaches. This list of beaches includes Siloso Beach, Palawan Beach and Tanjong Beach.
To enjoy this benefit, you just have to head to any of the beach entry kiosks and show the staff your registered email to access your account and redeem the wristbands.
Each member can bring up to four accompanying guests with them with the whole party given a wristband for each session.
Islander Members Birthday Treats
That’s not all, members will be given a $20 cash voucher on their birthday month. This voucher can be used to offset your Sentosa Fun Pass or attractions tickets bought at any Sentosa Ticketing Counters.
To redeem this voucher, you simply have to head to any Sentosa Ticketing Counters and present your registered email address, e-card and NRIC during your birthday month for verification.
Island Members’ Day Promotions and Year Long Discounts
Members will also get to enjoy special discounted ticket prices during member’s day.

Should You Sign up for a Sentosa Islander Membership?
In my opinion, signing up for the Sentosa Island membership is a no-brainer decision as it is currently free. These perks are good to have even if you don’t visit Sentosa often.
Furthermore, there’s no telling when Sentosa will rescind the offer.
The only downside I can think of is that Sentosa will keep marketing its offers to you once you hand over your personal information.
