The past few weeks have gotten me all caught up with the General Election (GE) news, whether I wanted or not.
I wake up to the melodious sounds of the perambulating vehicles.
Every social media channel became flooded with GE news.
The nominated candidates were also placed under great scrutiny, with every blunder being turned into memes.
Singaporeans tend to get especially creative during this period of time too.
Being a politics noob that I am, there are a few parties contesting for GE2020 that I have never heard before.
Fortunately, I was able to understand a little better from the discussions I’ve came across.
However, the acronyms were also starting to get similar the more I look at them.
Just a recap, here are the political parties which are contesting for the upcoming election:
- National Solidarity Party (NSP)
- The People’s Action Party (PAP)
- The People’s Power Party (PPP)
- The Progress Singapore Party (PSP)
- The Peoples Voice (PV)
- Red Dot United (RDU)
- The Reform Party (RP)
- Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA)
- Singapore Democratic Party (SDP)
- The Singapore People’s Party (SPP)
- The Workers’ Party (WP)
