Latest iPhone Launch: Apple Releases iPhones for 2022
At 1am Singapore time today (8 Sep 2022), Apple Inc’s (NASDAQ: AAPL) introduced the iPhone 14 lineup.
If you are a fan of small phones, you’ll be disappointed to find that Apple has cut the 5.4-inch iPhone mini from the iPhone 14 lineup.
Instead, you’ll be getting the following models with these screen sizes for this year’s iPhone 14 lineup:
- iPhone 14: 6.1 inches
- iPhone 14 Plus: 6.7 inches
- iPhone 14 Pro: 6.1 inches
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: 6.7 inches.
The price of the cheapest iPhone has also gone up.
Last year, you could get an iPhone 13 mini (128GB) for S$1,149 at launch.
But this year, the cheapest iPhone 14 phone is the iPhone 14 (128GB), which costs S$1,299, a good S$150 more.
Granted, the iPhone is a better-specced phone compared to the iPhone mini. But, you can’t ignore that Apple has increased the base price of iPhones this year.
Regardless, people will still buy up the iPhone 14 like it’s going out of style.

The bad news is that, as mentioned above, the price of the cheapest iPhone has also gone up.

If you are keen on buying an iPhone 14 in Singapore, here is the information about the availability you need.
iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus Availability and Pre-order Date
You can pre-order the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus from 8pm tomorrow (9 September 2022).
But the iPhone 14 will only be available starting next Friday, 16 September 2022.
Whereas the iPhone 14 Plus will only be available a few weeks later, from Friday, 7 October 2022.
Note that there is a limit of two iPhone 14 and two iPhone 14 Plus per customer.
iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max Availability and Pre-order Date
Likewise, you can pre-order the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max from 8pm tomorrow (9 September 2022).
